Ten years ago, this new bio-fuels facility had the capacity to produce 50 million gallons of corn-based ethanol. Today, the capacity of the plant has increased to over 130 million gallons and through advanced technology now produces a stream of by-products for both food and non-food applications. Rochelle is an ideal location for this type of industry because of the infrastructure that supplies the required water, power, natural gas and rail services. CHS continues to expand because the City of Rochelle has stayed ahead of building the utility systems necessary for on-going industrial development.
